Student answer (Band 6.0)
Rising environmental concerns force people to think about the role they can play in order to protect the ecosystem. Although it is widely debated whether transport through aircrafts should be limited or banned to protect the environment, I completely disagree with this restristions because flying is the shortest and fastest track to reach the destination, using other means of transport will harm the environment more than an aircraft.
Many environmentalist concerns over the rapid climate change and blame the modern technology for this cause, which is true and debatable. Limiting means of transport especially aircrafts will directly effect the economy. Many people travel across the world for their studies or businesses which helps in building economy and strengthen the bond between countries. Immigration and tourism considered quite helpful in understanding different cultures and modernization. Many poets, writers, scientists and businessmen travelled across the globe to gain experience and knowledge from others and to perform better in their career.
As far as environmental distruption concerns, the people who need to move to several places, will then use the alternate of the aircrafts such as ships, trains or cars which directly cause pollution and increase the duration of the journey. Aircrafts are fastest than any other means of transport, despite having some environmental concerns. Govenment should encourage people to use public transport in their daily routine and relay less upon private transport.
In conclusion, restricting people to use aircrafts or completely banning it will automatically slowed down the flow of economy. Environmentalist should aware people to used less or public transport on daily basis as it will be considered more effective than completely stop flying.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear position: you disagree with reducing or stopping flights, arguing that aviation supports travel, business, and economic links. These points are relevant, and you also address the environmental side by suggesting that travellers may switch to ships, trains, or cars. However, the response does not fully weigh the environmental benefits against the disadvantages, as the question asks. The claim that other transport will cause more pollution is asserted rather than supported, and the benefits of reducing flights are not explained in detail. Your examples about tourism, study, and notable travellers help illustrate the disadvantages, but some are broad. Develop both sides with specific comparisons and explain why your chosen side outweighs the other.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from economic and social disadvantages to alternative transport and a final recommendation. Linking phrases such as “Although,” “As far as,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: the opening contrast introduces a position against restrictions, but the essay does not clearly organise a comparison of benefits and disadvantages. The sentence beginning “Many environmentalist concerns…” is also difficult to connect to the following economic point. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, and make references such as “this cause” and “it” more precise so readers can follow the argument without guessing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “climate change,” “economy,” “immigration,” “tourism,” and “pollution,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “environmental concerns” and “modernization.” This is enough to communicate the main ideas, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling sometimes reduce precision. For example, “shortest and fastest track” is not a natural way to describe air travel, while “environmental distruption” and “Govenment” contain spelling errors. “Environmentalists concerns” also needs a more suitable form. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “the fastest way to reach a destination” and “environmental damage,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. Greater precision would make the argument more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concessive opening with “Although” and a conditional structure in “the people who need to move to several places, will then use…”. Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For instance, “Many environmentalist concerns” does not form a correct subject and verb, and “will automatically slowed down” uses an incorrect verb form after “will.” In “Environmentalists should aware people,” the verb pattern is incomplete. The long opening sentence also joins several claims in a way that makes the structure difficult to control. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and divide sentences when they contain several separate ideas.
