Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that flying should be reduced but not stopped altogether. Relevant points include aircraft pollution and the importance of air travel for family visits and international business. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says the development “has outweight the disadvantages,” while the conclusion stresses the importance of continued flying without clearly confirming that the environmental benefits outweigh its costs. Several ideas are also asserted rather than explained—for example, the claim that travelling once a year would have a “dramatic affect” is not supported with a clear reason or example. State your comparison directly and develop fewer points with specific explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for environmental benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To commence with” and “Furthermore” helps identify the intended direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “To commence with the merits, there are several negative ways” gives a confusing signal before discussing benefits, while “To explicate on other side” introduces the opposing view awkwardly. The conclusion repeats points without resolving the comparison. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each supporting explanation explicitly to its main point, and make the final paragraph restate your judgement.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “pollution,” “air quality,” “climate change,” “international delegations,” and “environmental.” These choices show an effort to discuss both environmental and practical consequences. However, the range is limited and many spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “diminsh,” “emmison,” “substanial,” and “predominent.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “negative ways” and “poisonus gasses less emission.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than using ambitious terms without checking their form. Proofread spelling and practise topic phrases such as “reduce carbon emissions” and “rely on air travel for business meetings.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to use both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because there are a lof people who have to go outside f country” and a conditional example beginning “if every people travel once each year.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries frequently make the meaning unclear. Examples include “this create,” “it effect on people,” “people can used,” and “if every people travel.” The opening also joins contrasting clauses with both “although” and “but,” which is not needed. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a clear main clause before adding subordinate information.
