Student answer (Band 4.5)

Some individuals think that we have to decline the number of flying or to stop permanently.

I would discuss about its disadvantage on the citizens and also its effects on the bussinesses.

There are some individuals that believe that the number of flying have to decrease or stop for long time, but we can see many lases of this opinion because some people mostly use flying becuse their time most important than money and they can earn more money in short periods. If we stop the airplane, they will lose their huge amount of money and time.

On the way, i aslo like discuss about the businesses because 25% businesses of every country depend on the flying way. If the flying industeries stop, then every country will go in downfell.

I know, one of my friends, owner of petrol industry, one day, he wanted to go abroad, but due to some flying issuses, he missed

the flight and losed 50 crores and the next day he went

to abroad but he losed time and also money due to one missed flight.

conclution, if we will stop the flight for short time or long time or decline the number of people whose get fly, they every country and in businesss like my friend's business will gain lose per lose and at the end some people complaint about it or register a case with it. In the same way businessmen will do or close the company or may be shift from one country to other country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify that reducing or stopping flights could affect individuals and businesses, and the example about your friend’s missed flight is relevant to the disadvantages side. However, the task asks you to compare these disadvantages with the environmental benefits and decide whether the benefits outweigh them. Your response does not explain any environmental benefit, such as lower emissions, or state a clear, sustained judgement about which side is stronger. The opening says you will discuss disadvantages, and the conclusion focuses on business losses, so the central comparison remains unanswered. To improve, present your position directly and develop both sides with specific explanations before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, discussion, example and conclusion, and phrases such as “On the way” and “conclution” signal movement between points. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the paragraphs repeat the idea that fewer flights would cause losses without building a balanced argument. The relationship between the friend’s missed flight and the effects of reducing flights is not clearly explained. Some linking expressions are also used inaccurately, and the conclusion introduces further claims about complaints and companies moving countries rather than resolving the question. Use one paragraph for environmental benefits, one for disadvantages, and a final paragraph that clearly weighs them.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary communicates the general topic, with relevant terms such as “businesses,” “airplane,” “flight,” and “money.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make ideas harder to understand. For example, “number of flying” is not a natural way to describe flight frequency, “flying industeries” is unclear, and “gain lose per lose” obscures your meaning. There are also repeated references to “stop” and “lose.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For instance, use “reduce the frequency of air travel,” “aviation industry,” and “suffer financial losses” to express your points more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If we stop the airplane, they will lose…” This shows some ability to connect ideas, and the main topic is generally identifiable. However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement and articles occur throughout. Examples include “the number of flying have to decrease,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “he losed time,” where the past-tense form is incorrect. The final sentence also has an unclear structure, making the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then extend them with controlled conditionals and relative clauses; check subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms when editing.
