Student answer (Band 4.0)
Several individuals have decided to decrease the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether. I bileave that there were minor items effect in this change.
First of all, many community travel for their work i should beleave that they didn't think stop flying because their all work depends on their consistancy. For instance when they started their work abroad they would be decide and prepare our mind for travel every month or every year. So, that they didn't think to avoid travel by air because that is very necessary for their and that one individuals they didn't stop flying that is muslims because they travel every month and every day to fly makkah and madinah. They didn't stop flying. On the other hand many people run their home while they fly for example pillot, and plane etc.
Howeve, when they fly by air they saw many places and they decided to go for their but they didn't go because they are in plane that is very annoing for them. Many people prefer travel by road on cars, bus and bikes etc they enjoy their all trip. th

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response makes an attempt to discuss the effects of reducing air travel, and it gives examples involving people who travel for work, pilots, and Muslim pilgrims. However, it does not clearly answer whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The opening claim, “there were minor items effect,” is difficult to interpret and does not establish a clear position; the environmental benefits are not explained at all. The disadvantages are also only briefly mentioned, with little explanation of their impact. The response is 179 words, below the 250-word minimum; 13 words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count. To improve, state your view directly, address both benefits and disadvantages, and develop each point with a clear explanation and relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: it begins with an introduction, uses “First of all” to introduce a point, and signals a contrast with “On the other hand” and “However.” These markers show an awareness of how to connect ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several different points are crowded into one paragraph, and the links between them are unclear. For example, the discussion moves from work travel to pilgrimage and then to pilots without explaining how each supports the argument. The final paragraph shifts to sightseeing and alternative transport but ends abruptly. Use separate paragraphs for the environmental benefits and disadvantages, and connect each example explicitly to your main position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “fly,” “travel by air,” “work abroad,” “pilots,” and “travel by road.” This gives the reader a general sense of the subject, and phrases such as “stop flying altogether” reflect the task topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make meaning unclear, as in “minor items effect,” “consistancy,” and “annoing.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “run their home while they fly” and “they saw many places.” Aim for more precise vocabulary to explain both sides of the issue, such as emissions, carbon footprint, business travel, and tourism. Check spelling and collocations, and choose words that express the intended idea directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “when they started their work abroad” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” This shows some effort to connect clauses rather than relying only on short statements. However, control is inconsistent, and errors often make relationships between ideas hard to understand. For example, “many community travel for their work i should beleave” has problems with agreement and clause structure, while “they didn't think stop flying” is missing a grammatical form after “think.” The sentence about people who “travel every month and every day to fly” is also difficult to parse. Practise building clear subject–verb sentences, using infinitives after verbs such as “decide” and “think,” and punctuating longer sentences so each idea is complete.
