Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many parts of the world, many people planned to reduce the number of international travels they do every year.Although some people might consider it negtive , I believe that it to be a extremely beneficial. Not only because it reduces the air pollution and protect environment, but also because of encourge alternatives.
There are multiple benefits associated with this decision.Firstly, it reduces the air pollution as consider the primary benefit of this development. As in case of flyng fewer flights means it reduces the air emissions.Take an example of Japan, Where the Foreign Minister planning to reduce the number of flights for city to city travel because of air pollution. Thus,This development is ineed beneficial for environment.
Secondly,a part of reduce the amount of air pollution, protecting environment is also another benefits for this decision. As reduces the number of flights is also reducing the number of air pollution come from flights. For instance, according to the recent survery that was conducted in Germany where 76% people agree that airlanes and jets are a major cause of environmental damage.Hence protecting environment can be labelled as the most significant advantage, giving this development a postive outlook.
Finally, with reduce a number of times we fly every with is having a huge impact on envionment. As for a short travel and short journey we may use some alternatives such as train, buses and personal cars.
To sum up, I believe that reducing a number of flights is indeed a postive development for environment. Not only because it reduces the air pollution and protect environment, but also because of encouge alternatives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position in the introduction and conclusion: reducing flights is beneficial, mainly because it lowers pollution and encourages alternatives. However, the task asks you to weigh environmental benefits against disadvantages for individuals and businesses, and that comparison is largely missing. The response focuses almost entirely on environmental benefits; it does not explain what people or businesses might lose, or why the benefits outweigh those costs. Several points also repeat the same claim about pollution rather than developing distinct reasons. The examples about Japan and a German survey are relevant in topic, but their connection to the argument is not explained in enough detail. To strengthen the response, address both sides directly and support your judgement with clearer, developed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Finally” and “To sum up” help readers follow the broad structure. However, progression is limited because the first two body paragraphs repeat the idea that fewer flights reduce pollution, rather than advancing separate points. Some links are awkward or unclear, including “As in case of flying fewer flights means it reduces the air emissions” and “a part of reduce the amount of air pollution.” The final body paragraph introduces alternatives but does not explain how they benefit the environment or relate to the disadvantages in the question. Organise the body around distinct arguments and use linking phrases to show the relationship between claims and examples, not simply to announce each point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “environmental damage,” “alternatives,” and “significant advantage,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, especially references to reducing pollution and protecting the environment. There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “negtive,” “flyng,” “survery,” “airlanes,” and “postive,” which can distract the reader. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “international travels” and “a postive outlook” in this context. Aim for more precise environmental and economic vocabulary, and check spelling and collocations carefully. This would make your ideas clearer and reduce repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer structures, including “Although some people might consider it…” and “Not only because… but also because…,” but these patterns are often incomplete or inaccurately formed. For example, “I believe that it to be a extremely beneficial” lacks a correctly formed verb structure, while “it reduces the air pollution and protect environment” has a subject–verb agreement problem and missing article. Other sentences, such as “As reduces the number of flights…” and “Finally, with reduce a number of times…” are difficult to follow because their clauses are not grammatically complete. Sentence forms are mostly simple, with limited accurate control of complex structures. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation when editing.
