Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days to reached destination fast flying has been increased. In this essay i expaain the pros and cons of reducing or stoping flying activity.

Firstly ,if people reduce the number of fly in the year or even stop the flying the consequences depend upon the own person. For example if persons' has a bussiness man background and he need to travel across different countries for his bussiness development than by stoping or reducing flying activity will effect his bussiness. Secondly, if we talk about the bussiness owner of flying companies than by reducing flights or even stoping it will effect revenue or even company may go in lose as well as. Therefore, reducing flights have conditional bad effects on individual while on other hand it will surely effect the businesses of flying companies.

Furthermore, if we talk about the enviroment benfits than we first need to understand how aeroplane will work what they used as fueling. So, we than came to know that engine of aeroplane fuel by kerosine oil which will partailly burn and release toxic chemical in enviroment which slowly slowly effect the atomosphere gases and temperature. By reducing flights number we can eassily help to save our nature and it has great posiitve effect on quality of envirmoment.

So, reducing the number of flights will protect our nature and if nature is protected we will compansate the other losese with passage of time. But for instance we lose our nature than other benefits will not compensate the nature lose.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both the environmental benefits and the disadvantages for individuals and businesses, and your conclusion clearly favours reducing flights because protecting nature is more important. The examples of a business traveller and an airline company are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the effects on businesses are repeated rather than explored, and the environmental argument mainly states that aircraft release harmful chemicals without explaining the scale of the benefit or giving a specific example. The position also becomes clearest in the final paragraph, rather than being stated directly at the outset. To strengthen the response, explain why the environmental gains outweigh the economic costs and develop each main point with a consequence or concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on disadvantages, a paragraph on environmental benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Furthermore” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and links between ideas are not always clear. For example, “Therefore” introduces a summary of the business costs, but the distinction between effects on individual travellers and airline companies could be organised more clearly. The conclusion repeats the environmental point without fully drawing together the comparison. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the question of whether benefits outweigh disadvantages; vary linking methods rather than relying mainly on numbered transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “revenue,” “flights,” “kerosine oil,” and “atmosphere,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand, such as “bussiness development,” “go in lose,” and “quality of envirmoment.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “to reached destination fast” and “toxic chemical.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise environmental and economic terms, such as “air travel,” “carbon emissions,” and “operating losses.” Proofreading spelling and choosing natural phrases will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if people reduce the number … the consequences depend upon the own person” and a concluding “if … than” construction. This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. For example, “if persons' has a bussiness man background and he need to travel” has problems with the subject, verb agreement, and clause structure; “by reducing flights number we can eassily help” also has an unclear grammatical pattern. Practise building accurate conditional sentences and checking agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. More reliable control of these forms would let you express your comparisons clearly.
