Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the past, people needed more times to travel from one place to another than in present days. Humans invented different categories of aircrafts to minimise the time. There are many advantages of this invention. On the other hand, it also brings some disadvantages. To reduce the problems humans have took a decision which is minimise the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether. I personally don't support this solution because it will carry many obstacles to individuals and businesses.

There are plenty of benefites of flying. Humans want to explore the world. The travel lovers can take a flight and can go to their desied places. That's how people will be able to meet new people and enjoy the cultures of various countries. Tourism can make people feel happy and mentally fit as well as it is beneficial for the economic growth of any country. Furthermore, many people live outside of their country for many reseaons such as to get better job opportunities, to built their own business, to pursue higher degree. However, humans are able to come to their countries and meet their families, friends and loved ones by traveling by aeroplane.

There are some dark sides along with bright sides. The aircrafts release toxic somkes which are hazardous for environment. It will pollute the air which affected humans, animals, and tress.

I am a citizen of Bangladesh. I am taking preparation to go to foreign countries to achieve my phd degree. If the number of flights will declined, then it will cause many issues. I have to face huge completion to take a flight and go to outside of my country. So, decreasing the number of times of fly is not a proper solution.

Eventually, there are many drawbacks. Nevertheless this obstacles are less than the advantages of the larger amount of times of fly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear personal view that reducing flights is not the right solution, and you include relevant points about tourism, family visits, study, and aircraft pollution. The Bangladesh example makes the effect on an individual concrete. However, the response only partly answers the comparison in the question: it gives several disadvantages of fewer flights but does not explain how these weigh against the environmental benefits, and the environmental point is brief. Some claims, such as tourism supporting economic growth, need clearer explanation or an example. Develop both sides and state explicitly why one outweighs the other. The response meets the required length; 13 words copied from the prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to benefits, environmental harm, a personal example, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps separate these points, and transitions such as “On the other hand” and “Furthermore” show attempts to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph focuses on the benefits of flying, while the question asks about the disadvantages of reducing flights, so the link to your argument is sometimes implicit. The conclusion repeats your position without bringing the main comparisons together. Use topic sentences that directly address the task, and connect each example to the central judgement. Check references such as “this obstacles,” which makes the concluding link unclear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “job opportunities,” “environment,” and “pollute the air,” and you attempt to express a range of ideas. However, the vocabulary is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts less clear, for example “benefites,” “desied places,” “to built their own business,” and “huge completion.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “larger amount of times of fly.” Aim for accurate, natural expressions rather than longer phrases assembled awkwardly. Learning collocations for travel, emissions, and access to flights would help you explain the issue more precisely and reduce repetition of “fly” and “flight.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which are hazardous for environment” and a conditional idea in “If the number of flights will declined.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “humans have took a decision” needs a correct past participle, while “the number of flights will declined” has an incorrect verb form. In “It will pollute the air which affected humans,” the tense and clause connection are unclear. Practise building accurate conditional sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding more complex clauses.
