Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a general view that flying has benefits and drawbacks, and you mention convenience, travel costs, seat availability and air pollution. However, the task asks whether the environmental benefits of reducing or stopping flights outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. Your response does not clearly answer this comparison: the opening says there are “both advantages and disadvantages,” while the conclusion recommends responsible travel without stating which side outweighs the other. Much of the first body paragraph describes the benefits of flying rather than the disadvantages of reducing flights, and the environmental benefit is only briefly identified as controlling air pollution. Develop the environmental case and explain its relative importance, while directly addressing effects on both individuals and businesses, to make the response more complete and focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” signal stages of the discussion. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph focuses on the advantages of flying, while the next begins with “On the one hand” again and shifts between cost, seat shortages and pollution without clearly linking them to the question. Some connections are also unclear, as in “Therefore, they fly every year as well as stop flying together.” Use one paragraph for the environmental benefits of flying less and another for the resulting disadvantages, with clear topic sentences and references that make each point’s relationship explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate several relevant ideas, including “air pollution,” “seat shortage,” “businesses” and “comfortable journey.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on “convenient,” “travel” and “people,” and some word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For example, “stop flying together” does not express the intended idea of stopping altogether, and “achieve your destiney” is not a natural way to describe reaching a destination. Spelling errors such as “econemy,” “Induviduals” and “Therfore” also weaken clarity. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary for emissions, alternatives to air travel and business impacts, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If you are travelling in car or any other vehicle so you could be late” and a time clause beginning “When the seats will short.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and agreement in “There is a lots of facilities” and “a comfortable seats,” as well as sentence fragments or run-ons such as “If you fly by planes or anything. It saves your time but it very costly.” Practise forming complete sentences, matching subjects and verbs, and using articles and plurals accurately. Punctuate sentence boundaries and avoid joining clauses with “so” when the structure is incomplete.
