Student answer (Band 4.0)
The growing popularity of people had decided to reduce the amount of times they fly every year or to stop flying together has considerable attention in recent years. While this development offers several benefits , it also presents certain drawbacks. This essay will examine both the advantages and disadvantages of this trend.
One major disadvantages of reducing the number of times, people fly every year and to stop flying together is benefits to environment. This is mainly because there will be no pollution in environment. For instance, if there is no vehicle , there will be no pollution because to start the engine we need petrol or diesel , these will make our environment pollution
Despite these benefits , By reducing the number of times people fly every year or to stop flying altogether also have some advantages . One significant drawback is by flying together we can save from pollution and also petrol. This is because in a plane if there only one or two passengers travel from one place to anothere place, so plane requires petrol but in the place of one or two passengers, if there such big number of people we can save petrol and also from pollution .Consequently it will impact our environment it will destroy our air which we breath we don't get fresh air
In conclusion , although reducing the number of times people fly every year and to stop flying altogether offers advantages such as it will save petrol . It also have disadvantages particularly it prevent pollution in our cities. Overall its impact depends on relevant condition

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You attempt to discuss both environmental effects and consequences for people, and the conclusion signals that you see advantages and disadvantages. However, the response does not clearly answer whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The body paragraphs are also confused: the first calls environmental benefits a “disadvantage,” while the second describes reduced flying as having “advantages” before presenting reasons to fly together. These points are not developed with relevant, clear support, and the effect on businesses is not addressed. The response is 248 words, so it falls two words short of the 250-word minimum; the 18 words copied from the prompt are excluded. State your position directly and support it with accurate, task-focused examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic essay shape, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is difficult to follow because the ideas and paragraph purposes are not consistently clear. For example, the first body paragraph labels environmental benefits as a “disadvantage,” and the next begins by saying reduced flying has “advantages” before arguing for flying together. The conclusion also repeats both sides without resolving the comparison. Plan one paragraph around environmental benefits and another around individual and business disadvantages, then use clear linking and referencing to show how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “environment,” “pollution,” “petrol,” and “fresh air,” and attempt phrases such as “considerable attention” and “significant drawback.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the intended meaning unclear. For instance, “stop flying together” does not convey the prompt’s meaning of stopping altogether, and “make our environment pollution” is not a natural expression. Repetition of “pollution” and “number of times” also limits flexibility. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check collocations, such as “reduce emissions” and “air travel,” while keeping the language straightforward.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “if there is no vehicle” and a contrast structure with “although.” Some sentences communicate a basic idea, but errors in agreement, sentence construction, articles and punctuation are frequent enough to make parts difficult to follow. Examples include “One major disadvantages … is,” “also have some advantages,” and “It also have disadvantages.” Several long sentences join multiple ideas without clear grammatical control, particularly the sentence beginning “This is because in a plane…”. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and build longer sentences around one clear main clause, using punctuation to separate supporting details.
