Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You state a relevant position: reducing flights is beneficial for the environment, and you begin to connect this to education and job-seeking travel. However, the response addresses only part of the question. It does not explain the disadvantages for individuals or businesses, nor does it compare those costs with the environmental benefits to show whether the benefits outweigh them. The example beginning “if there are too many flight have” is unfinished, so it does not support your point. The response also falls substantially short of the required 250 words, leaving the argument and supporting reasons incomplete. To improve, state your comparison clearly and develop both sides with complete explanations and relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the topic and your view, while “On one hand” signals a supporting point. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the response ends during an example, and there is no contrasting paragraph or conclusion, so the argument does not progress to a complete answer. Connections between ideas are also limited; for instance, the link between reducing flights for education or work and improving the environment is asserted rather than explained. Use separate paragraphs for the environmental benefits, the disadvantages to individuals and businesses, and your final judgement. Complete each example and use clear linking phrases to show how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “environmental,” “pollutions,” “education,” and “job opportunity,” and you try to express a position with phrases such as “From my point of view.” This shows some relevant vocabulary, but the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the meaning less clear. Examples include “flied,” “aro plane,” “environmental demages,” and “decline our flighting”; these are not natural or accurate expressions in this context. Aim to learn common collocations such as “reduce air travel,” “cut carbon emissions,” and “environmental damage.” More precise vocabulary would also help you discuss the disadvantages, such as “travel costs” or “business connections,” rather than repeating general references to flights and the environment.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You make an effort to use more than simple statements, including a sentence beginning “because of” and a list introduced by “like.” However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “every one liked ti flied” has an unclear subject and incorrect verb forms, while “it is benefitials … to reduced” does not use the correct form after “to.” The final example, “if there are too many flight have,” is incomplete and has faulty sentence construction. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, tense, articles, and singular/plural forms. Short, accurate sentences are a useful foundation before adding complex clauses.
