Student answer (Band 5.0)

SOME INDIVIDUALS HAVE CONVERT THEIR IDEAS INTO THE REDUCTION OF TRAVEL BY FLIGHT OR FULLY BANNED IMMEDIATELY.I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT BECAUSE IF PEOPLE CAN CHANGED THEIR IDEAS IMMEDIATELY A GREATER LOSS SHOULD BE AVAIL BY THE BUSINESS FAMILY.

ON THE ONE HAND,IF PEOPLE REDUCE THE TRAVELLING BY THE PLANES THEN, POSITIVE AND GREATER CHANGE IN THE ENVIRONMENT.BY THIS,THE AIR POLLUTION CAN BE REDUCE AND NORMAL EMMISION OF CARBON DIOXIDE CAN BE REVEAL SO,PEOPLE REMAIN HEALTHY AND LIVE A LONG HEALTHY LIFE.FOR EXAMPLE: IN ADVANCED COUNTRIES LIKE CHINA,CANADA AND MANY MORE PROVIDE A LESS AIR POLLUTION IN THE ATMOSPHERE AND GAVE PROPER AND HEALTHY AIR TO INHALE AND FOR BREATHING PROCESS SO, IN THESE COUNTRIES PEOPLE ARE LESS ILL AND LIVE 85 TO 90 YEARS AVERAGELY.

ON THE OTHER HAND,IF PEOPLE CHANGED THEIR VIEWS ABOUT THE AIR TRAVELLING THEN A GREATER LOSS IN THE BUSINESS AS WELL AS IN A TRAVEL.TRAVELLING DOES NOT REMAIN SMOOTH AND LOADS OF HURDLES IN IT, BY THIS, PEOPLE FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND DIFFICULTY IN THEIR JOURNEIES.FOR INSTANCE:IN UNDER DEVELOPING COUNTRIES LIKE NEPAL,BANGLADESH AND MANY MORE PEOPLE SUFFER WITH UNCOMFORTABLE IN THEIR JOURNEYS AND DO NOT HAVE ANY ADVANCED TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION MODES FOR COMFORT IN TRAVELLING.

IN CONCLUSION,PEOPLE WHO BLAIM THAT LESS TRAVEL WITH FLIGHT STOPS THE LEVEL OF AIR POLLUTION AND LESS EMISSION OF CARBON DIOXIDE BUT WITH IT,BIGGER LEVEL OF LOSS ALSO IN IT, BECAUSE LESS SMOOTHNESS IN THE JOURNEYS AS WELL AS LOSS IN THE BUSINESS AND THE PROGRESS OF THE COUNTRY ALSO REDUCED AND COUNTRY BECOME UNDER DEVELOPING

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question by describing possible environmental gains and disadvantages for travellers and businesses, and your conclusion indicates that you oppose reducing flights. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says “I do not agree with this statement,” while the conclusion mainly repeats that there are losses without directly weighing them against the environmental benefits. The environmental point about reduced pollution is relevant, but the claims about people being less ill and living to 85–90 are not supported or clearly linked to flying less. The disadvantages paragraph focuses mostly on uncomfortable journeys in developing countries rather than explaining specific effects on individuals and businesses. Develop and compare these points more directly to answer whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These signposts help readers identify the intended contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several claims are joined into long, crowded sentences, and the links between them are unclear. For example, the move from reduced emissions to longer life expectancy is not explained, while the second body paragraph shifts from business losses to travel discomfort without showing how one leads to the other. The conclusion repeats earlier points rather than clearly synthesising the comparison. Use shorter, logically connected sentences and make each paragraph develop one central reason.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “carbon dioxide,” “business,” and “transportation modes,” and use some relevant expressions to discuss environmental and travel impacts. However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise wording, and several choices make the meaning difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “normal emission … can be reveal,” “a greater loss should be avail,” and “less smoothness in the journeys” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors, including “journeies” and “blaim.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise terms for the effects on businesses and travellers. For instance, describe reduced emissions and lost revenue directly rather than relying on vague phrases such as “greater loss.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional clauses such as “if people reduce the travelling by the planes” and contrastive structures introduced by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand.” However, control is weak across many sentences, and errors frequently make the intended relationships difficult to understand. Examples include “people can changed,” “the air pollution can be reduce,” and “people who … stops,” where verb forms or agreement are incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable: long strings of clauses are joined with commas, and spaces after punctuation are often missing. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then separate each main idea into a complete sentence before adding subordinate clauses.
