Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, flights traffic rapidly increased. Due to dense population of all around the globe and businesses worldwide connections peoples look for safe and fast travel. Before airplanes people travel through ships and its takes multiple days to reached at a destination. However, now anyone can go anywere in the world just within 24 hours by plan. As there are multiple benefits of air travel, on the other hand, there are sevral disadvantages too. If people decided to not use much air travel as previously they used definitely brings a lot of benefits. Especially, if numbers of travelers will reduce than flights number will also reduce. Based on this, overall consumptions of fuel will also decrease and this will be beneficial for environment.
From my prespective, the benefits of this development will help to decrease carbon emission and brings differnet changes in our society. There will be sevral environmental benefits; Although, disadvantages are higher than advantages. If we talk about benefits, the amount of fuel used will reduce and directly help in reduction of air pollution. Furthermore, the amount of oxygen and other gases will not effect through carbon emission. Air quailty index will also improve if numbers of passengers reduce.
Disadvantages of not taking flights for personal o business tour will brings sevral problems in their lives. Most common problem they will face are time managment. They will not able to reach on time or they need to use other routes like by road or by ships that will take extra time. Subsequently, the idea to avoid air travel just because of environmental issues have more problems than benefits.
Overall, it is evident that there are multiple environmental benefits of stopping air travel but disadvantages outweigh.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: you recognise environmental gains from reduced fuel use and emissions, but conclude that the disadvantages for individuals and businesses are greater. The discussion of environmental benefits is relevant, especially the link between fewer passengers and less fuel consumption. However, the position is not fully consistent: you first say the disadvantages are “higher than advantages,” then describe the benefits as helping society, without explaining the comparison in detail. The disadvantages are also narrow, focusing mainly on time and alternative routes. To strengthen the response, develop specific business impacts and weigh them directly against environmental gains, using a concrete example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate discussion of benefits and disadvantages, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your argument. However, progression between ideas is sometimes unclear or repetitive. For example, the introduction and second paragraph both explain that fewer flights would reduce fuel use and pollution, while “Although, disadvantages are higher than advantages” interrupts the flow of the benefits paragraph. Some linking phrases, such as “Based on this” and “Subsequently,” do not clearly show the relationship between the ideas that follow. Organise each paragraph around one main point, avoid repeating the same environmental claim, and use transitions that accurately signal contrast, cause, or consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon emission,” “air pollution,” “air quality index,” and “environmental benefits,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “overall consumption of fuel.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less precise: “flights traffic,” “dense population of all around the globe,” and “personal o business tour” are awkward or unclear. Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “sevral,” and “quailty” are noticeable. Build a more accurate range of phrases for travel and business impacts, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if numbers of travelers will reduce than flights number will also reduce.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “Before airplanes people travel through ships and its takes multiple days to reached,” “If people decided … definitely brings,” and “Disadvantages … will brings.” These show problems with tense, subject–verb agreement, and verb forms. Articles, plurals, and sentence punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check that subjects and verbs agree and that verb forms remain consistent. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
