Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, people are more frequently using air transport to reach their destiny and it leads to environmental problems, while certain individuals reckon and take decision that they will reduce their number of flight which they fly together every year to stop over crowding . This trend has both the merits and demerits. Let us further delve into the topic.
To commence with, we can not completely stop the air travel of people, but only reduce the extra travel which is without any reason. Also, if large number of people fly together while they were travelling towards their desirable location, it definately causes air popullation. Although it is lower as compared to the pollution which was caused by the private vehicles such as car and bikes. Consequently, a single flight carry a large number of people in a one go which can reduce the cost of fuel and time of travel. As well as, it harm the envirnoment a lot because it can makes sky over crowded and congested for the birds to fly freely in sky without any fear.
On the other hand, it has some drawbacks that if people reduce their number of flight, it will create impacts on both individuals and business company who invested or involve in air ttravel business who run these flying operations. If people cut down their flight travel then they will face financial crisis in the future.
To conclude, i completely agree that if it will possible in the future, then the environmental benefits may outweigh the disadvantages for the individuals and businesses because it is crucial to safe our environment for our better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the environmental concern and acknowledge disadvantages for individuals and businesses, then state that environmental benefits may outweigh them. However, the response only partially answers the comparison: the benefits are not clearly explained as outweighing the economic effects, and the disadvantages are asserted rather than illustrated. For example, “they will face financial crisis” does not explain which businesses or workers would be affected, while the discussion of crowded skies and birds is unclear and not convincingly linked to reduced flying. The opening also says the trend has “merits and demerits” without establishing a firm position. Develop two or three relevant points with specific explanations or examples, and make your judgement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph beginning “To commence with,” a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “On the other hand” helps readers follow the shift to disadvantages. However, progression within the main paragraphs is uneven: the first paragraph moves from limiting unnecessary travel to vehicle pollution, fuel costs, and birds without clearly showing how these points connect. Some linking phrases, including “As well as,” do not introduce a complete or logically connected idea. The conclusion repeats the position but does not draw together the reasons. Group related points, use clearer links between cause and effect, and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “environmental problems,” “air transport,” “financial crisis,” and “environmental benefits,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to understand. For instance, “reach their destiny” is not a natural way to describe travel, and “air population” appears to mean air pollution. Phrases such as “number of flight which they fly together” and “air ttravel business” also reduce clarity. Spelling errors such as “definately,” “popullation,” and “envirnoment” are noticeable. Build accuracy with common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if people reduce their number of flight, it will create impacts.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “a single flight carry,” “it harm,” and “it can makes,” where subject–verb agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “if large number of people” and “number of flight.” The opening sentence is especially difficult to process because several clauses are joined without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and conditional patterns, and divide long sentences when needed.
