Student answer (Band 5.5)

This is ongoing debate the some individuals have to decided to reduce their trips through the plans every single year and also stop the flying with people.

Overall, i think this is the best approach for overcome the air pollution and also noise pollution for example, when the plan start its makes too much noise in environment in addition, large portion of fuel is also used in plans that is the negative for air pollution pollution because the plans engines produce the high pressure fire for flying.

On the other hand, this is the negative affect on businesses and for people. For example, according to this too many businesses are going to shutdown like cargo moreover, people lives are also affects because no one can fly through the plan. If traveling all over the world stop so, how import and export goods are doing.

In conclusion, the pros of this is just the air pollution and noise pollution were reduced this is the environment benefit and cons of this there are plenty of things are going to stop like businesses are turned to down and import and export are also damage because of this economy of country is going to be destory, In addition, the connection with neighbourhood countries or globe is damage if we apply this kind of policy. In my believe, we should continue the flying if we stop this its makes the long-term affect for both economy and environment of every country but reduce the unnecessary trips.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a position: you support reducing unnecessary flights while recognising possible harm to businesses and international trade. The points about aircraft noise and fuel use are relevant, as is your question about how goods would be imported and exported if flying stopped. However, the discussion remains limited and some claims are unclear or too broad—for example, that “too many businesses are going to shutdown” and that a country’s economy would be destroyed. The conclusion also shifts between supporting continued flying and reducing trips without fully explaining how you weigh the environmental benefits against the disadvantages. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and state your overall judgement more consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for environmental benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main areas of your argument. You also use linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “moreover,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and some links are mechanical or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. For instance, the sentence beginning “If traveling all over the world stop” does not clearly connect to the preceding claim about cargo businesses. The conclusion combines several points in a long sequence. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain its consequence, using clearer references and more controlled transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “noise pollution,” “fuel,” “cargo,” and “import and export,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “pollution,” “businesses,” and “damage.” Some choices are inaccurate or unclear, such as “plans” for aircraft, “high pressure fire,” and “turned to down,” which make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Spelling and word-form errors, including “destory,” also reduce precision. Build a more varied set of accurate terms for aviation and its effects, and check that each phrase expresses the intended meaning. For example, describe aircraft emissions and the disruption of international trade more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, using forms such as “because,” “when,” and “if,” and you include both simple statements and more complex constructions. However, these attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors can make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “individuals have to decided,” “when the plan start its makes,” and “people lives are also affects,” where verb forms, agreement, or sentence structure are not controlled. Several sentences also run together without clear punctuation, especially in the conclusion. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms after auxiliaries, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
