Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people have decided to mitigage the total amount of fly evey year or totally stop flying. In my point of view the should reduce unnecessary fligh rather than totally stop flying. I dont think so the environmental benefits of these development outweight the disadvantages for their personal and business life.
First of all, if we talk about the advantage of reducing the number of flight, there are little advantages. Reducing the number of flight can save individuals money and can save their time. people should avoid unnessery flying, some time people go to abroad for silly matters or spending holidays which can be time cinsumung and costly. It also increase carbondyoxide in air from aeroplanes by having to much flights. Another thing we need to know that if you dont fly the aeroplanes will conduct the flight with empty seat and that doesnt change a lot. My recommandation is to reduces unnecessary trips.
On the other hand, if you totally stop flying there are lots of disadvantages. It can hamper individual life. They migh not explore the world for some silly environmental benefits. Visiting different countries enhance peoples mind and hepls to improve their knowledge by exploring different language, foods, people, and culture. Sometimes it han hamper ther business. One good example can be, if any one have importanr business meetings with client and they choose not to fly that can had a negative impact on their business. In my flying advantages are lot more than the disadvantages.
In conclution, I would like to say that people should selectively avoid unnessery flying which will save their time and mone along with envirommental benefits. But the dhould not consider their important business fligh and trips and holidays.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a recognisable position: people should reduce unnecessary flights rather than stop flying, and you mention environmental effects alongside personal and business disadvantages. However, the response only partially answers the comparison in the question. The opening says the benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages, but the first body paragraph mainly lists savings in time and money and gives little explanation of the environmental benefit; the claim that an aircraft may fly with empty seats is also not clearly connected to the overall impact. The second paragraph offers relevant examples about travel and business meetings, but these remain general. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how the environmental gains compare with these costs and support your judgement with clearer reasoning or a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first moves from savings to holidays, emissions, and empty seats without clearly linking each point to the argument. Some connections are also unclear, particularly “there are little advantages” followed by several claimed benefits. The conclusion repeats the recommendation but does not clearly resolve the opening comparison. Group related ideas, use linking phrases to show cause and contrast, and make references such as “this development” or “these benefits” precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “environmental benefits,” “business meetings,” “carbon dioxide,” and “exploring different countries.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main subject, but the range is limited and several word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors make parts difficult to read. Examples include “mitigage,” “the total amount of fly,” “unnessery,” and “time cinsumung.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “conduct the flight with empty seat” and “hamper individual life.” Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the environmental and economic arguments without relying on repeated general words such as “things” and “advantages.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including conditional forms such as “if any one have important business meetings with client and they choose not to fly.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “It also increase” needs subject–verb agreement, while “people should avoid unnecessary flying, some time people go…” joins two independent ideas without suitable punctuation. The opening sentence, “In my point of view the should reduce…,” is also structurally incomplete. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
