Student answer (Band 5.0)
The global warming has raised concerns all over the world. Many reports have been published to warn people about the consequences of environmental hazards and its affects on different regions. Some individuals have decided to reduce the number of times they used to fly every year or totaly stopped flying to take a stand against the global warming and save earth for the coming generations.
The floods, high temperature and fires have affected many countries. We all had seen floods in Japan, Nepal, India, Pakistan and many other countries. These floods not only had affected insfractures in these countries but also had taken thousands of human and animal lives. People had lost their families, homes and sources of survival to these floods. The high temperature in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and in many european countries almost melted poles. Individuals get sick and have lost their lives in this growing temperature. Fires in many African and australian jungles have killed thousands of animals and totally disrupted the enivornment. The main reasons behind all these incidents had been linked to global warming. There are many reasons behind global warming like industrialization, uses of plastic and means of transporation. These all are big businesses and we all are somehow responsible for this mass destruction around the world. However, closing is not a solution because many households are running due to these businesses. We use many things in our daily lives are available with the help of these corporations. Electricity, internet, and transporation sources all are by-products some other things and we are kind of dependent to these things in our daily life.
However, we can still save for the future generations just by minimizing the uses the things which are affecting our natural world. We can reduce our flying hours and use natural methods of transporations to help environment in

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You introduce the environmental concern and give relevant examples of floods, heat and fires, then suggest reducing flights and using other transport. However, the response does not clearly answer the central comparison: whether the environmental benefits outweigh the disadvantages for individuals and businesses. The discussion shifts to industrialisation and corporations, and the point that households depend on businesses is not connected clearly to the effects of flying less. Your final paragraph begins a position in favour of reducing harmful activities, but it is incomplete and does not explain the costs to travellers or businesses. To strengthen the response, state your view directly and develop both sides with specific, relevant reasons and examples. The response meets the stated length requirement; the nine words copied from the task prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces the issue, the next paragraph gives examples of environmental damage, and the final paragraph turns towards possible action. Linking words such as “However” help signal a change in direction. Nevertheless, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the discussion moves from flying to global warming generally, then to businesses and household dependence, without showing how each point supports the answer. Several sentences repeat the idea of harm, while references such as “these things” and “these all” are unclear. The final sentence also stops before completing its point. Use a clearer paragraph plan—position, benefits, disadvantages, and conclusion—and connect each example explicitly to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “global warming,” “environmental hazards,” “industrialization,” and “by-products,” which helps communicate the general subject. Some phrases attempt to be specific, such as “sources of survival” and “mass destruction,” but they are not natural or precise in context. Spelling errors, including “totaly,” “insfractures,” “enivornment,” and “transporation,” are noticeable, and inaccurate forms such as “affects” instead of “effects” reduce control. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main ideas, but errors and awkward collocations sometimes make the reader work to interpret them. Build precision by checking spelling and choosing standard collocations, especially when describing environmental impacts and the economic consequences of reduced flying.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “however,” but control is uneven. Errors in tense and verb forms appear in “We all had seen floods” and “These floods not only had affected,” where the past perfect is not appropriate for the intended general examples. There are also agreement and sentence-structure problems, as in “Many reports … and its affects” and “We use many things in our daily lives are available.” The final sentence is incomplete, leaving the relationship between reducing flights and using other transport unfinished. These errors can make some ideas difficult to follow. Practise forming complete clauses, maintaining consistent tense, and checking subject–verb agreement and articles in longer sentences.
