Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, there has long been debate whether to preserve the ecosystem and the enviromental rights by reduction of the annual flights numbers or abolishing flights completely, this essay will argue that, why i believe modest number of flights and providing better solution other than cancellation of the flights.
On the one hand, decreasing the annual flight number has many beneficial impact, particularly on the environment and the ecosystem , through elimination of air polution, the gases and smokes discharged from different kinds of airplans flights. More over, it will result in a huge reduction in carbon emission and the heat produced , that is imacted negatively on environment and the plants. All of these factors caused fire alarms to ring constantly in many area, particularly in regions with hot climate, death of numerous animals and birds and the harmful efect on ozone layer is a major concern.
On ther hand, many individuals depend on flighting mainly as a method of transportation between cities and over the seas, flights considered on of the major ways to transport goods and a variety of productes all over the world. beside it is affordable, convenient and fast way to travel.
From my prespective, banning flighting harmful effect is considerable as it will affect the econmy of many countries, broad the borders over and over, in addition to increase the number of hours needed to reach your destination. Nevertheless, the solution can be easily provided and implemented by changing the source of energy needed to the flights, moving from fuels to the oil, the solar system and sustainable sources of energy. The innovation of the fast express trains could be also a solution for this challenge.
To sum up, how ever the teremendous effect of the traditional method of flighting and it’s effect on the environment, cancellation is not the solution, but the governments should consider different effective solutions to save the environment without any more losses or risks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and make your position clear: reducing flights can benefit the environment, but a complete ban is not the best solution. Relevant points include emissions and harm to wildlife, alongside the importance of air travel for passengers and transporting goods. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between flight reductions and fires is unclear, and the disadvantages for businesses are only briefly suggested through the reference to the economy and goods transport. Your proposed alternatives—cleaner energy and express trains—are relevant, but need more explanation of how practical or effective they would be. Develop these points with specific examples and compare the environmental gains more directly with the costs to individuals and businesses.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help signal the direction of the argument. The main progression is understandable, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence is difficult to follow, and the shift from the disadvantages of banning flights to alternative energy sources could be signposted more clearly as your proposed compromise. Within paragraphs, several ideas are placed in a list without showing how they relate—for instance, emissions, fires, animal deaths and ozone damage. Use clearer topic sentences and explain links between claims so the argument develops smoothly rather than relying mainly on contrast markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “carbon emission,” “ecosystem,” “sustainable sources of energy,” and “express trains.” These choices show awareness of the subject and allow the reader to understand your main argument. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, and some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “annual flights numbers,” “airplans flights,” “fire alarms to ring,” and “broad the borders” do not express the intended ideas clearly. There is also repetition of “flight” and “environment.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, such as “number of flights,” “aircraft emissions,” and “expand trade links.” More precise vocabulary would make your ideas easier to follow and give your argument a more controlled academic style.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “particularly” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some sentence structures are incomplete or difficult to control. The opening sentence joins several ideas with commas and ends with the unclear construction “this essay will argue that, why i believe…”. In “flights considered on of the major ways,” the sentence needs a verb, while “the heat produced, that is imacted negatively” has an unclear relative clause. There are also errors in articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “beside it is affordable, convenient and fast way.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; review articles, verb forms and punctuation.
