Student answer (Band 5.5)
Travelling from one country to other become convenient and easier due to latest technology such as to fly like a bird in air. Most of the people fly number of times for thier business trip and to perform other tasks. But many people have decided to reduce number of times they fly evry year that result in environmental benefit in my opion.
To begin with, journey become faster with aeroplanes no doubt but there is a adverse effect on environment. Aeroplanes used jet fuel which is of high capacity fuel that emits carbon dioxide and other gases in result of engine ignition as well as produce noise pollution that harmful for environment. For example, if number of people increases that fly ultimate number of air buses will increase and leads to rise in environmental polution but if people reduces it will be decline. So it is more beneficial for environmental development if we reduce to fly.
Moreover, it has also disadvantages for businesses which are associated with this. They are thousands of person which are connected to this field and earn their livelihood. It has a great influence in GDP growth of country as in Pakistan northern side many people across the world travel to it for tourism. Through which Government earn many by charging taxes and in northern side many of the people depend on this income whoch they earn from tourist. This industry includes restaurants, hotels, entertainment and much more. Number of means of communication connected this development like many of shipments and import & export done by air because it is faster and convenient.
Admitely, there is no doubt for environmental development we have to take these steps like reduce in fly but their also impact on individuals such as if one person has to go abroad and there is a lack of facility like aeroplane it becomes difficult because it takes too much time to travel by road.
In conclusion, we cannot stop using the flying but we can reduce its number by kicking out unnecessary travels. And converts your business physical meetings to online where possible and number of other ways can be adopted for environmental benefits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: reducing unnecessary flights is worthwhile, although flying remains useful. The environmental case is supported with relevant points about emissions and noise, while the disadvantages section mentions tourism-related livelihoods, tax income, and the difficulty of travelling abroad without planes. However, the comparison is not fully developed: the business and individual costs receive examples, but you do not clearly weigh their scale against the environmental gains. Some claims, such as the effect of fewer passengers on the number of aircraft, also need clearer explanation. Develop the comparison and make your judgement about which side outweighs the other more explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for environmental benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. Overall, the ideas are arranged coherently, but connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “Number of means of communication connected this development” shifts from tourism to air freight without a clear link, and the conclusion introduces online meetings without developing that idea earlier. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports; also make references such as “this” and “it” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “carbon dioxide,” “noise pollution,” “livelihood,” “GDP growth,” and “import & export,” so the reader can understand the main subject. However, the range and control are limited, with repeated or imprecise expressions such as “environmental development,” “number of times,” and “this field.” Several word choices and collocations make meaning less natural, for example “high capacity fuel,” “air buses,” and “earn many by charging taxes.” Spelling errors such as “polution,” “thier,” and “Admitely” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for emissions, aviation, tourism, and economic effects, and check spelling and collocations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if people reduces it will be decline” and a relative clause in “who earn from tourist.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “journey become faster,” “Aeroplanes used jet fuel,” and “there is a adverse effect.” Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical structure, particularly “Number of means of communication connected this development.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and build longer sentences from a clear main clause before adding supporting information.
