Although some people have decided to reduce the number of times they fly every year or to stop flying altogether. This decision offers several avantages, it also has certain disadvantages. This essay will discuss both benefit and drawbacks to reducing the number of times they fly every year.

To begin with, one of the main advantage of reducing number of times they fly every year is that it helps to decrease the enviromental pollution. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question by discussing an environmental benefit and disadvantages for individuals and businesses, and your conclusion clearly says the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The pollution point is relevant, with an example about flights and health effects. However, the response only partly develops the comparison: the disadvantages are represented mainly by one business-meeting scenario, while the environmental case is also explained in broad terms rather than supported with precise evidence. The opening says the essay will discuss both sides, but the argument does not fully explore how reduced flying affects individuals separately from businesses. To strengthen the response, explain the scale of aviation’s environmental impact and consider alternatives or costs for travellers and companies. The length requirement is met; 27 words copied from the prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for the environmental benefit, one for disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally clear, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “In contrast,” and “In conclusion” help the reader follow the argument. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward. The introduction’s “Although” clause is left incomplete, and the conclusion begins “desite the fact…” followed by “However,” creating an unclear relationship between the ideas. There is also repetition of the idea of reducing flights, and the reference in “they might face problems” is not fully precise. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each claim to its explanation more smoothly; clearer paragraph development would improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “environmental pollution,” “harmful gases,” “air pollution,” and “business meeting.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “emitted” and “quality of air.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “avantages,” “enviromental,” “geses,” “airpot,” and “diseses.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “individuals life,” “people lives,” and “make our environment clean and peaceful.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for this topic—for example, “reduce carbon emissions” and “business travel”—and check spelling carefully. Greater precision would make the argument sound more natural and less repetitive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example: “if a business man have to attend a meeting… then that is not possible.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “Although some people have decided…” is a dependent clause without a main clause, while “This is primarily due to people have to attend…” uses an incorrect structure after “due to.” Subject–verb agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “the aeroplane produces… gases that is” and “one of the main advantage.” The conclusion contains sentence-boundary and punctuation problems. Practise complete clause structures, agreement, and article use, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
