Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has been observed that many people think about to alleviate the number of air travel otherwise avoid flights altogether. While this may effect convenient source for individuals and firms and increased time to cover distances, environment receives great amount of benefits as air pollution fall down and compressed gases kept for longer time. I believe that environmental advantages outweigh the disadvantages for indiviudals and businesses.
To begin with, one of the primary benefit to surroundings is that air become more clean. To explain it, if air travel is reduced it will automatically effects to burning of fuel. Less consumption of fuel make less air pollute which raises the quality of air. For instance, in past years air was more fresh as buring of fuel was comparatively lower. By deciding to avoid flight definitely assist nature to more pure form. Moreover, it also maintain the amount of compressed gases that are reduced with the continuous use of vehicles. Lesser number of air flights stabilize the percentage of fuel. Hence, these factor could lead to fresh atmosphere and conserve natural things.
On the contrary, it is undeniable that minimal amount of air transportation maintain stablity in nature but it effects firms and human beings that are joined with these services. The first and foremost is that people have to choose other options for travelling which may creates inconvenience in longer routes. Employees salary also affected as work in air agencies are fluctuates. Furthermore firms have a risk of failure as they are not achieving their monthly target. These may lead to financial disturbances. For instances, few air firms were comepletely shut down as number of flights are not choosen. As a result, it may disturbance in business and people luxury life.
To conclude, although companies may face some crisis and individual comfort is not fulfilled, it may positively impact on nature by maintaining temperatures and condition for survival. Therefore, i thought that benefits are more than drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear position: “environmental advantages outweigh the disadvantages.” The essay identifies reduced fuel use and air pollution as benefits, and inconvenience, affected employee salaries, and business losses as drawbacks. These points are relevant, but some are not fully explained. For example, the claim that fewer flights preserve “compressed gases” is unclear, and the example of firms closing is not developed or linked to specific evidence. The conclusion restates your view, though “maintaining temperatures and condition for survival” is broader than the supporting discussion. To strengthen the response, explain the environmental mechanism more precisely and develop each main point with a clear example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for environmental benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from one side of the argument to the other is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the contrary,” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, cohesion is occasionally mechanical, with several sentences linked by “Moreover,” “Hence,” and “As a result” without always making the relationship between ideas clear. References such as “these factor” and “These may” are also vague. Use more precise links and make each sentence’s connection to the paragraph’s main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “consumption of fuel,” “inconvenience,” and “financial disturbances.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main argument, but inaccurate word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make ideas unclear. Examples include “compressed gases kept for longer time,” “air become more clean,” and “people luxury life.” There are also spelling errors such as “indiviudals,” “buring,” and “stablity.” These issues limit precision, even though the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. Aim for natural combinations such as “reduce emissions,” “cleaner air,” and “people’s quality of life,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including conditional phrasing (“if air travel is reduced”) and a concession in the conclusion (“although companies may face some crisis”). However, control is limited: errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “one of the primary benefit” should have a plural noun, while “Less consumption of fuel make less air pollute” has problems with agreement and clause structure. In “people have to choose other options … which may creates inconvenience,” the verb form is incorrect. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall argument remains understandable. Practise accurate simple clauses first, then build complex sentences with reliable verb forms and agreement.
