Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram demonstrates manufacturing of bamboo fabric from bamboo.
Overall, bamboo fabric is manufactured in 9 initial steps starting point of bamboo plant to finishing conclusion of fabric clothes. Also, water and amine oxide plays a initial role in this process alongside with harvesting and cutting is also the part of this process.
Firstly, bamboo plant is grown fully in spring season by taking care of it than manually its harvest in autumn season by farmer also seasons matters so this process needs to be done according to these seasons only. Moreover, cutting the harvested crop is done by cutter than in those cutted stripes we have to crush those stripes to make them liquid pulp. Afterthat, filtering plays an important role to seperate long fibers from liquid to make fabric thick. Now in 6th step soften fibers like, water and amine oxide are added in this fabric generating process.
In addition, all these long fibers added with soften fibers are spinned to make yarm a ball like stuff. IN the end that ball is weaved to make fabric than this fabric is utilised to make clotes like, t-shirts socks etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the process from planting through to finished clothing, and the overview identifies the nine stages and the role of water and amine oxide. Most stages are reported in the correct order, including crushing, filtering, softening, spinning and weaving. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the diagram shows water and amine oxide being added to soften the fibres, not that they play an “initial role,” and “all these long fibers added with soften fibers” suggests a combination that is not shown. The overview could also state the main transformation more clearly, from harvested bamboo to yarn, fabric and clothing. More precise reporting of the diagram’s labels would make the coverage more complete and reliable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the stages. The sequence is generally easy to follow, and transitions such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” help signal progression. However, some linking is mechanical or does not accurately express the relationship between stages. For example, “Afterthat” is attached to the preceding idea, while “Now in 6th step” is an awkward shift in register. The long first process paragraph also combines several stages in sentences that are difficult to track. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer to each stage directly, so the reader can follow the process without relying on repeated transition words.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “filtering,” “fibers,” “pulp,” “spinned,” and “weaved,” which helps communicate the main stages. There is some variety in how the process is described, but word choice and spelling are often imprecise. Examples include “cutted stripes” for cut strips, “yarm” for yarn, “clotes” for clothes, and “fabric thick,” which does not clearly describe the filtering stage. Phrases such as “finishing conclusion” and “ball like stuff” are also informal or unnatural for an academic report. Aim for accurate technical terms and standard collocations, such as “the finished garments” and “the fibres are spun into yarn.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “by” and “to,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, particularly in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction. For instance, “water and amine oxide plays” should use a plural verb, while “bamboo plant is grown fully” needs clearer article and phrasing. The sentence beginning “Firstly” contains several actions joined without a clear grammatical structure, and “this fabric is utilised to make clotes” shifts awkwardly from process description to a general statement. Use shorter, complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement and tense consistency; passive forms such as “the strips are crushed” suit this process well.
