Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the process as having nine stages and cover the main sequence from planting through to finished clothing. The overview also attempts to summarise the process, and most stages are recognisable. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the diagram does not specify that the process takes approximately two years, and it shows cutting with a circular saw rather than a knife. The statement that the separated liquid is “not use anymore” is also not supported by the diagram. Your account of the final stage is broadly relevant, but the overview could more clearly describe the transformation from bamboo to yarn, fabric and clothing. Select only details shown and explain the key stages more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, an overview, a chronological account and a concluding summary. The stages are generally presented in the correct order, and sequencing phrases such as “Initially,” “Then,” and “After” help the reader follow the process. However, progression is sometimes weakened by awkward or unclear links, for example “Looking at the 5th step” and “In contrast,” which does not express a meaningful contrast here. Some sentences combine several stages or repeat the same summary, while references such as “This called seond stage” are not always clear. Use one paragraph for the overview and organise the detailed stages into clear groups, with simpler, more accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “yarn,” and “weave,” so the reader can identify many of the materials and actions. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision. Examples include “crush trips” for crushed strips, “a sping” for spun yarn, “cloths” for clothing, and “main products” for finished products. Repetition of “step” and “fabric” also makes the description less flexible. Build a more accurate set of process verbs and material terms, and check spelling carefully; precise vocabulary will make each stage easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including time clauses such as “After few months farmers can harvest bamboo during autumn.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “The diagram illustrate” needs subject–verb agreement, while “the bamboo fabric is manufacturing shows” combines incompatible structures. Phrases such as “fibres are add water” and “crush strips are filter” also need passive forms: “water and amine oxide are added” and “the crushed strips are filtered.” Practise accurate passive constructions, which are especially useful for process descriptions, and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
