The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The illustration depicts how bamboo is used to produce fabric.

Overall, there are nine steps involved in producing fabric. The nine-step process begins with the planting of bamboo plants and ends with the fabric-based products such as t-shirts and socks.

The process starts with the planting of bamboo plants in the spring season, and later in the autumn season, these plants are harvested by farmers. These plants are then passed through a process in which they are cut into strips. These strips are then crushed in order to get the required liquid pulp. The next step is filtration, which is used to separate the long fibres from the liquid.

At step 6, the long fibres, which were separated from the liquid in the earlier step, are converted into softened fibres by adding water and amine oxide. Spinning is then used to make yarn out of the softened fibres. In the next step, weaving is used to produce the finished fabric, which can be used to make items such as t-shirts.
