IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The diagram depicts the process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo by following nine different stages.

In the first stage, plant bamboo into a land during the spring. After that, in autumn, bamboo goes for harvesting. In the third stage, it is cut into strips and remove extra unwanted parts. Then, crush those strips to make liquid pulp. In the fifth stage, liquid pass out through a filter to separate long fibers.

In the sixth step, the process of making soften fibers is done by add water and amine oxide. Subsequently, the method of produce yarn is called as a spin. In the seventh stage, the procedure of getting fabric is named as a weave. In the last step, final sum up is got fabric like shirts and socks.

Overall, the process consist of nine different stages. Firstly, procedure starts with plant bamboo in spring and harveting it in autumn season, while ends with manufacturing fabric by spin as well as weave.
