IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The plan depicts the formation of fabric clothes from a bamboo plant.

Overall, the bamboo pants have been cut into small pices, then some liquid and chemical is mixed into the plants and it will weave to make a fabric clothes.

Firstly some bamboo plants have been harvested from the farmer. Then these plants will send in the cutter machine, where those bamboos have been cut into strips. After that, those strips will crush to make some liquid pulp. Furthermore, the plants will send into a filter, where long fibres will be removed from the liquid material.

Continue of the plan, once long fibres have been removed then the water and chemical substance such as Amine oxide, will add in the process, to make the soft fibres. The next step will be to turn these fibres into a spin to make a yarn. In the final step, the spin turn into a weave, where people would make a fabric clothes such as T-shirts and Shocks.
