Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the requirements of an Academic Task 1 report. Instead of providing an objective summary of the manufacturing process, the text adopts an inappropriate, informal, and speculative tone, focusing on business success and personal advice rather than the diagram. While the steps (planting, harvesting, crushing, filtering) are mentioned, the lack of a formal report structure and the inclusion of irrelevant, subjective commentary (e.g., 'make millions', 'mock god') means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must remain objective, describe the process sequentially using formal language, and omit personal opinions or business advice.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response lacks paragraphing and logical progression. It is written as a single, run-on block of text with poor use of cohesive devices. Transitions are limited to repetitive 'and then' or 'and', which makes the flow mechanical and difficult to follow. There is no clear introduction or overview of the process. To improve, you should organise your report into distinct paragraphs: an introduction, a summary of the main stages, and a conclusion. Use a variety of linking words such as 'subsequently', 'following this', and 'the final stage involves' to connect your ideas more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is highly informal and conversational, which is unsuitable for an Academic Task 1 report. Phrases like 'heres the exiciting part', 'your gonna make', and 'successful business man' are inappropriate for this task type. The range of vocabulary is limited and lacks the technical precision required to describe a manufacturing process. To improve, focus on using precise, academic terminology related to industrial processes, such as 'extraction', 'processing', 'conversion', and 'distribution', while avoiding colloquialisms and personal commentary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The grammar is weak, with frequent errors in sentence structure, punctuation, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'your workers is happy', 'your name gonna put'). The text consists largely of run-on sentences joined by 'and', showing a lack of control over complex sentence structures. There is a consistent misuse of 'your' instead of 'you are' or 'you're'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, using correct verb tenses for describing processes (usually the present simple passive), and ensuring proper punctuation to separate distinct ideas.
