IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The given diagram presents the information about manufacturing process of fabric from bamboo. The whole process is divided into various stages.

According to the diagram, bamboo's plant are planted in spring. After planting them, it grow up in Autumn, so that it is harvested in Autumn. Then, it is collected and cut into strips. All strips are crushed and converted to make liquid pulp. After crushing all strips, long fibres are filtered from strips' liquid.

As per the diagram, further process is adding water and amine oxide. Due to add these two aspects in fabrics, they become soft. Moving to the next step of the process is making rolls of the long fibres. The long fibre is converted into yam. After that, the weave is made which is know as a fabric. From these fabrics are used for making clothes such as, shirts, t-shirts, socks and so on.

Overall, the manufacturing process of making clothes from bamboo is divided into various steps, which is begin from the planting bamboos' plants and ends by making numerous kinds of clothes from fabrics.
