IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram indicates the method fabric is produced from Bamboo

Overall, it's seen that Bamboo plant grows and sprouts in the spring ready to be harvested in the autumn, after that, it's cut into strips either with a saw, knife or axe. The strips are grinded to make a liquid pulp which will be filtered to separate the solute from the solvent. The solid fibres are then moist in water and amine oxide and spinned to form a yarn which will be weaved into fabric to be used to process cloth.

In Conclusion, the process of making cloth and wears from Bamboo can be seen to be easy without much procedures, the only difficulty to be encountered could be the seasonal difference, the time for the Bamboo to mature and the period to harvest, the gap between these two seasons can be frustrating owing to the fact that cloths are what we wear on all seasons and as a result, the process of producing the cloth should not be seasonal.
