IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The process diagram gives information on how fabric in formed from bamboo in nine steps starting from plants to final wears.

Overall, the process involves seeding the bamboo plant in Spring, going through stages (Harvest, Cut into stripes , adding water filteration, crushing, making of yarn), then making the fabric.

Bamboo plants are seeded in Spring, then harvested in autumn and in the third step harvested plants are cut down into stripes, Furthermore, after the cutting process soften fibres are formed which are then proceed to the filtration where long fibres are separated from the rest.

Liquid pulp is formed by crushing the filtered fibres which is then spinned to make yarn.

Finally the yarn is weaved and fabric is formed an then be changed into any kind of wearables like shirts and soacks.
