IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

This picture illustrate the how bamboo converted into fabric. There are 9 steps from bamboo plantation to conversion into the fabric.

Initially, bamboo plant is planted in the Spring, took Summer season to grow and harvested in the Autumn then the plant cut down into strips form. Moreover these strips crushed to make liquid pulp from them.

In the next step, these crushed form put into the filter to extract long fibers from the pulp. Furthermore, the mixing water and amine oxide to this long fibres transformed into soften fibers.

The last step, after addition of H20+ amine oxide this soften fibers spin to make yarn .

then weave to make fabric and finally clothes.
