The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo.

Overall, the process involves nine stages, beginning with the planting and harvesting of bamboo and ending with the production of fabric that is used to make clothing.

Initially, bamboo is planted during the spring season and harvested in autumn after it has fully grown. The harvested bamboo is then cut into thin strips, which are crushed to produce a liquid pulp. Following this, the pulp is filtered in order to separate the long fibres from the liquid.

In the next stage, water and amine oxide are added to the fibres to soften them. The softened fibres are subsequently spun into yarn, which is then woven into bamboo fabric. Finally, the finished fabric is used to manufacture various clothing items, including T-shirts and socks.
