The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
Bamboo plants have several uses, one of them being fabrics. Types of fabric are carefully studied in the 21st century so as to produce the perfect and most comfortable piece of clothing since the clothing industry is shaped by the demand of specific fabrics. Bamboo plants are planted in the farms during the spring seasons as they grow rapidly under certain atmospheric conditions. Bamboo plants are later harvested during the autumn season by farmers. This process is therefore followed by chopping the bamboo strips into long lengths. These long length help farmers to easily handle the plants. The strips are later crushed in order to generate liquid pulp which is then filtered to distinguish long fibers from the liquid. The fibres follow the process of being softened by the help of water and amine oxide so they can be moulded into any shape. It is later spinned to produce yarn and hence weaved to make a fabric
