IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates that how fabric is made from bamboo. I will elaborate the whole process and provide information.

First of all bamboo plants are planted in spring season and they are ready to harvest in autumn season. In the next step they cut them into strips and then some water and amine oxide have been added to the soften fibres. The next step is very crucial because in this step they filtered the mixture and separate long fibres from liquid. After that they crushed the strips to make liquid pulp.

Now the main works begin. In this step they spin the thread to make a yam and then weave to make fabric. Finally, In the final step the clothes are ready to wear.

In conclusion, we learned that how fabric is manufactured by using bamboo. the whole process consists of nine steps and after the final step the clothes are ready.
