IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates steps involved in the process of making fabric from bamboo. This process includes from planting bamboo crops to preparing ready to wear clothes.

Overall, described process includes several steps. Beginning from planting the required crops to making wearables. The process includes natural steps like farming of bamboo and machnical stages like harvesting,filtering and crushing of crops.

Firstly, plants of bamboo are planted in spring, and then bamboos are harvested by farmers in autumn season. After harvest, fully grown bamboos are cut into strips. Those strips are crushed for extracting juice out of bamboo strips, and then liquid has sent for the filteration stage, where long fibers are aparted.

After filteration, to achieve softness in fibers, water and amine oxide is mixed with the pulp. Next process is spinning where yarn is made, which passed for weave for making fabric out of it. At last , that fabric is used to make daily wearable clothes.
