In the first stage bamboo plant are planted during the spring season. after growing they are harvested in the autumn season. next, the harvested the bamboo is cut into small strip these strip are then crushed to turn them into a liquid pulp.
In the fifth stage, the mixture is filtered to separate the long fibers from liquid. after that water and chemical called amine oxide are added to the separate fiber. once the fiber are ready. they are spin to make a yarn. finally, these yarn is woven into sheets of fabric. which are then used to manufactured clothes like t shirts , socks etc woolen items.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main stages of the bamboo manufacturing process, from planting to the final product. However, the description is somewhat superficial. While the overview identifies nine stages, the body paragraphs lack detail regarding the specific chemical or mechanical transformations occurring at each step. For instance, the transition from 'liquid pulp' to 'filtered' is mentioned, but the process of creating the solution is not fully explained. The response addresses the prompt's requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected for a higher band score. The inclusion of 'woolen items' at the end is factually incorrect based on the provided diagram, which shows bamboo fabric production, not wool.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into an introduction and two body paragraphs, which provides a basic structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. Phrases like 'follow up the step of nine' are confusing and do not effectively link ideas. The progression of information is generally logical, but the lack of sophisticated transition words makes the flow feel disjointed. Paragraphing is present, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs is weak, particularly in the second paragraph where sentences are loosely connected. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'these' without a clear antecedent.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. Basic terms like 'liquid', 'small', and 'make' are used frequently. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'delinats' (delineates) and 'woolen items', which are inappropriate for the context of bamboo fabric. The student attempts to use technical terms like 'amine oxide' and 'fiber', but the overall range is insufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. Spelling errors, such as 'delinats' and 't shirts' (missing hyphen), further detract from the quality of the writing. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise verbs and nouns related to industrial processes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'bamboo plant are planted' and 'these yarn is woven'. Punctuation is also problematic, with inconsistent capitalization and incorrect sentence boundaries, such as '...small strip these strip are then crushed'. The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. More attention to pluralization and sentence structure is required.
