The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram provides information about how fabric is produced from bamboo.

Overall, the manufacturing process is made up of approximately 9 different major stages. The bamboo is first of all planted, then it is harvested before been cut into strips. The strips are then crushed before filtering takes place. After that, it is softened, then skinned and eventually weaved to produce fabric.

Planting of the bamboo plants generally takes place during spring. In autumn, the bamboo plants are ready for harvesting. The bamboo plants are then cut into strips. Afterwards, the strips are crushed to make liquid pulp. The liquid pulp is then filtered to separate long fibres from liquid. The fibres are then softened by adding water and amine oxide.

Afterwards, they are spinned to produce yam. The yam is then weaved to produce fabric. The fabric produced can then be used to make clothes like t-shirts and socks.
