IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The process gives information about nine different stages of producing fabric from bamboo plant .

Initially, the first stage starts with the planting of bamboo in spring season and it would be harvested in autumn by humans .Then harvested bamboo plant goes in to machine for cutting in to strips . Then on the fourth stage the strips are crushed to make thick liquid pulp . This pulp processed in to the filter and it can be strain to separate long fibers from that liquid substance .Then at this stage of the production water and amine oxide added to the liquid pulp to soften the bamboo fibers .

Furthermore , The process continues and makes the fibers spin in to the spinner to convert in to yam threads . After that it can be shaken to make a peace of fabric and on the final stage that fabric can be use to make clothes like shirt of socks .
