IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
The process diagram illustrates making of fabric cloths from bamboo.
The process begins with, in the spring bamboo plants are planted. Then, in autumn plants are harvested manually. After this, harvested plants are cut into into smaller strips using cutter. There after, these plants are crushed and it makes liquid pulp.
The process continue with, liquid pulp is filtered to remove impurities from pulp. In this process it separate long fibres from the liquid. After that, in these filtered material water and amine oxide are added. This process is required to make soften fibres. Then, spin is made from soften fibres to make a yarn. This yarn is made woven to make fabric materials. These materials is used to make clothes and socks. Finally, clothes are available to sale.
Overall, the process of making fabric consists of eight stages such as planting, harvesting, cut, crushing, filtering, soften fibres, spinning and weaving.
