IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The figure illustrates the process of making fabric from bamboo within nine steps.

Overall, It is immediately clear that the bamboo is harvested in autumn only furthermore the liquid pulp of bamboo must be filtered to remove any long fibers from liquid. At last the fabric is created by weaving the yam which in turn is used in clothing.

Every year In Spring season these plants start to grow taller which are harvested by people in autumn .After harvesting is over these bamboo sticks are cut into strips. Moving on to the crushing stage where these are turned into liquid pulp this liquid pulp is passed through a filter that separates long fibers from this liquid.

Fibers gathered after this process are soft to these water and amine oxide is added that is used to create long thread which is then turned into a ball by spinning called yam. This helps to make weave further that creates fabric.
