The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram illustrates the process of making fabric from bamboo plants. This will include nine stages. The main stages are plantation, cutting, refining and at last manufacturing different products.

Firstly, we will plant bamboo plants on the land in Spring season. When the plants are fully grown we will harvest then in Autumn through different machines. After the harvesting process we cut them into tinny strips with the help of cutting machine. Then the strips goes into the machine where we separate liquid pulp and crush strips.

After that the liquid goes to the filtration plant where the net separate long fibers that were found in the liquid. After, filtration we will add some amount of water and amine oxide that soften the fiber.

Then soften fiber goes into the spin where we make yam. We put that yam into different machines that make fabrics. At the end we make different products such as sweaters, scokes, warmers, and shawls that are very hot in summer.
