IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram gives information about fabric that specially get from bamboo plants.
Overall, it is a natural and linear process, consisted on 9 steps. Began from plantation of bamboo plants to harvest followed by cutting into strips. Next steps involved filters that turn into soft fibre and ended at new formation of clothes and socks by weaves.
First of all, in spring season the plantation of bamboo plants started in large scale. Once bamboo plants grew enough the harvest started in autumn. After that through machine all the extra leaves removed and it cut the bamboo plant into strips. These strips further crushed to make liquid pulp.
Furthermore, liquid pulp have combination of long fibres and liquid that needs to be separated. Filters are used for this separation method that gives soften fibres. Soften fibres were made by adding water and amine oxide after that it looked like soft flower.
Process entered into last stages. Soft fibres went into spinning process that ultimately turned into balls of yarns. These yarns transformed into weaves that are ready to make fabric. Now, fabric can used for clothing purpose like shirts as well as for socks.
