The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The process illustrates the steps involved in the manufacturing of fabric from bamboo.

Overall, it is clear that the process consist of nine steps. The proess begins with the plantiation of bamboo plant and ends with the making of new cloths including t-shirts and shocks.

In detail, at the first steps, bamboo plants are planted in spring season, which is then harvested in autumn. After that, the bamboo plants are cut into strips in the machine. Subsequently, the cut strips are crushed to make a liquid pulp.

The next step involves, the filteration process. The liquid pulp are filtered to separte long fibres from liquid. Furthermore, water and amine oxide are added to soften the fibres. After that, the soften fibres are spined to make yam. In next step, with the help of yam new fabrics are woven. Lastly, from the fabric new designer cloths are made such as t-shirts and shocks.
