IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the manufacturing process of fabric from bamboo.

Overall, it is 9-step process starts from the nature and ends at making a t-shirts and socks.

To begin with, bamboo plants are grown during Spring, but a manual method is used to harvest. Farmers usually harvest these bamboos in Autumn, which leads to third step. In the third step, bamboos were cut into strips using electric cutter. The curshed strips are used to make liquid pulp in this step we can say the half of the process is completed. In the sixth step, the crushed strips are filtered using a filter that seprate the long fibers from the liquid

After extracting the long fibers, anime oxide and some water is added into fibers to make them soft , and then spinned process began to make a yam. The weave process inclue making a raw fabric, which later converted into t-shirts and socks.
