The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo.

Overall, the process consists of nine stages, beginning with the plantation of bamboo plants and ending with the production of the fabric. The main stages involve harvesting the bamboo, cutting and crushing the strips, softening and filtering the fibres, spinning, and finally weaving to make the fabric.

At the first stage, the bamboo plants are planted in Spring season and allowed to develop into mature trees until Autumn. Then, the harvesting stage is taken place to cut the bamboo into the strips at the third stage. After that, when the strips are formed, they are crushed by shredding machine to make liquid pulp. Afterwards, filtration process is done, which is used to separate the long fibres from the liquid that was extracted by crushing the strips.

At the sixth stage, water and ammonium oxide is added in the fibres to soften them. Following that, the spinning process occurs to make yam with the softened fibres. It is then weaved to manufacture the fabric. Eventually, the resulting fabric can be used to produce various types of clothing, including shirts, socks and sweaters.
