The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram here, shows the manufacturing of a fabric from bamboo. Here the diagram shows the nine (9) steps of the making.

Step one is including planting a bamboo plant in the season of spring and have to wait until autumn seaaon, the season of harvesting. After harvesting the bamboo sticks cut down in small strips. These strips then crushed to make a liquid pulp the liquid pulp then separated by filteration, the fifth step of making. Thus, filteration separates long fibers from the liquid. Here is the main step of manufacturing a fabric that is step 6. In this step the fiber softened by adding water and amine oxide. After softening there is a rollar that spins the fiber which make it into a yarn. A yarn then weave to make a fabric.

Overall it is a 9 step process, started with planting a plant of bamboo and ending up making a yarn which is used to make sweater, socks or cloths for winter.
