The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given diagram illustrates the manufacturing of fabric from bamboo. Overall, it is the 9-step process, which begins with the planting of bamboo plants and concludes with the formation of fabrics. However, the eight intermediaries have played the most pivotal role in the transformation of bamboo into the fabric.

In the agriculture phase, during the spring season, planting bamboos is required to initiate the procedure. Whereas the harvesting of bamboo crops occurs in the autumn, followed by cutting them into small pieces with the help of fine sharp cutters.Then liquid pulp is extracted from these strips by crushing them.

The industrial stage of fabric synthesis starts with the filtration, which involves the separation of long fibers from liquid, then compounds like water and amine oxide are introduced to soften fibers. Furthermore, spinning would assist to make yarn of soft fibers. The weaving is the penultimate step of this process which leads to the formation of plain fabric which can be used to make various clothes.
