The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)
The diagram outlines the procedure of fabric manufacturing with the use of bamboo.
Overall, the process is a linear one, involving 9 steps. It starts with the plantation of bamboo in spring and ends at ready to wear clothes. Softening fibres and spining the fibre to make yarn are the most vital steps in the entire process.
The process begins with the plantation of bamboo in spring, follwed by bamboo harvesting in Autumn, then the bamboo is cut into thin strips before crushing it to make liquid pulp.
After obtaining liquid pulp, it goes through filteration process, where long fibres are separated from liquid. Next, water and amine oxide are added to the fibre to soften it. This leads us to the next step of spining of fabric to make yarn, which is then weaved to make fabric. This fabric is then used to make ready to wear pieces of clothing like shirts, socks and much more.
