IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates linear process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo tress.The process consists of nine steps, each of which plays a significant role in the production of fabric.

Overall, the process begins with planting of bamboo plants and ends with production of clothing items.

Firstly, plants are grown in spring, and harvested in autumn season when they are ready for harvesting. After this, the production process begins with cutting of Plant into strips with the help of cutter. Further, these strips are crushed completely to make liquid pulp which is going to be the main base. Moreover, Filtration process starts which help Two separate long fibers from liquid base.

Following this, Long fibers get soften by adding water and amine oxide into it. Then, spinning process is used to make yarn out of fibres. Next, yarn is moved to weaving machines to make fabric which machines are instructed to and finally, clothing items such a, t- shirt or socks are the end products of the manufacturing process.
