The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo, from planting the bamboo to producing the final textile.

Overall, there are nine stages from growing bamboo plants in spring to extracting the final items from fabric such clothes. Here some stages involved in weaving and spinning. Moreover, it is a chemical and mechanical process having a great importance in this era.

First, bamboo plants are grown in spring season and harvested in autumn. Next, bamboo plants are cut into strips, followed by some water and amine oxide is to being added to obtain soft fibres. Now this soften fibres with liquid in it passed by filter to separate long fibres from the water.

Next, crush the strips of bamboo to obtain aliquid pulp which further used in spinning to make the yarn, it is followed by weaving method used to make fabric from which further goods such shirts, t-shirts and other clothing items are extracted.
