IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The provided diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing of bamboo from fabric.

Overall, it is clear that the process consists of several steps, begining with planting of bamboo plants and cluminating in weaving to make fabric.

Initially, the bamboo plants were panted during the spring season, later they are harvested in autumn by the farmers. Subsequently the harvested crops are cutted into strips by the help of a machine. Once they were cutted, those strips was crushed to make liquid pulp. Thereafter that liquid extract was filtered to seperate long fibres from liquid by a funnel.

Following this, the filtered liquid was added with water and amine oxide to form soften fibres. Thereafter, those fibres were spinned to make yam, which is the major step in this process. Later, it was weaved to make fabric. Finally, clothes are made by that resulted fabric. In conclusion, clothes were prepared from 8 distinct steps.
